Tips I’ve Learned over the years on Growth

As I was writing my end of the year letter to my team, it hit me that I am so passionate about growth. Growth in myself, pouring belief and growth into others, and teaching people how to coach themself to grow.

Without growth we are stagnant- and that makes me think of a gross moldy pond in the middle of a 90* summer day- BLAH!

I wanted to share with you a few tips I’ve learned over the years on growth- I hope that you can find a good use for them in any of the areas of your life you want to grow in.

Growth means moving OUT of your comfort zone.

Have you ever been SO comfortable that you are bored? That you are looking for something more meaningful in your life? That you just think there is more to what you are here for?

Then you have experienced the 1st circle, the “comfort zone.”

Now as you can see, there are a lot of steps to move from Comfort zone to Growth, and it’s not always an easy or quick path… but look at those results.. Purpose, living your dream, setting new goals, conquering your dreams… WOW!!!
Here are 3 ways to help move through the comfort zone, into the fear and learning zone, and finally ending in that growth zone.

Focus on a strong morning routine:

I know you have heard this before but having the time for you to fill YOUR cup up 1st before helping your family is HUGE! I am NOT a morning person, but I focus on carving out 30 minutes in the morning for my coffee and quiet time.

I’m not the person who gets up and automatically works out or jumps into the shower… It’s a slow wake up process for me. I’m in my bathrobe, I’m making my coffee, I find my favorite spot on the couch, and I read a motivational book for 10 minutes

Second, I take 1 minute to quietly look at pictures (I created an album in my phone) of what I want my future to look like .

I find visuals are the easiest way to “see” my goals. Some people like to recite them or write them down, you need to know what works best for you.

Lastly, in my 30 minute morning routine, I look at my calendar and see what’s on my agenda.

I write down the 6 most important things that MUST get accomplished

Y’all my list is SO LONG… but I want to focus on the 6 most important things so I can feel accomplished at the end of the day.

Then…. the boys wake up and it’s GO-time for the day.

These are small steps into moving out of your comfort zone. By doing this you are:

These alone are going to help you hardwire your brain to finding solutions towards building your growth. These will also plant images and ideas for what you want your future to look like. Another way to hardwire your brain to be looking for opportunities that align with your new future goals.

I hope that you are intrigued by this information I am passing on, and may think a new thought. My hope is that by spreading this wealth of knowledge  it will be passed onto someone who can utilize it. Share away friends!
